Originally from Colorado, Lauren has called the Pacific Northwest home for the past nine years. She studied Political Science and Spanish at Oregon State University, where she also played rugby. A research fellowship at Stanford sparked Ms. Sluss' passion for education, leading her to earn a Master鈥檚 in Elementary Education and begin her teaching journey. After three wonderful years at Puget 草榴社区 Elementary, she served as School Manager and Mentor Teacher at Black River Elementary. Ms. Sluss is now thrilled to return to PSE as Assistant Principal and help create a joyful, supportive learning environment for all scholars. Outside of school, you鈥檒l find her hiking, playing volleyball, or enjoying a good Stephen King novel.
